Nodal Agency
Authorized by the Central Govt.

Responsible for the over all implementation of this Act.
   
State level Monitoring Committee
Monitor the process of recognition and vesting of forest rights.

Submit returns and reports to the nodal agency as may be called by the same.
   
District level Committee
Constituted by State Govt.

Consider and approve the record of forest rights prepared by the Sub-divisional level Committee.

The decision of the District level Committee shall be final and binding.
   
Sub divisional level Committee
Constituted by State Govt.

Examine the resolution passed by Gram Sabha.

Prepare record of forest rights

Forward the same to District level Committee through the Sub-Divisional Officer to Dist. Level Committee for final decision

   
Gram Sabha
Determine the nature & extent of individual /community forest rights.

Receive claims.

Consolidate & verify the claims.

Prepare a map delineating the area of each claim

Pass a resolution to that effect.

Forward a copy of the same to Sub-divisional level Committee.
